Adrian Stewart
I joined the Flood McAuley School of Dance when I was 11 years old. I then moved to the Setanta School of Dance run by Noreen and James McCutcheon and Owen McAuley. I travelled to many competitions National and International and won many Solo Championships including the Great Britain Championships, The British Nationals and many more local feisanna.
My most successful achievement was gaining 2nd place in the senior men’s championship at the Oireachtas Rince Na Cruinne in Ennis 1999 as well as many world and all Ireland medals in ceili and figure.Following this success I then passed my TCRG exam and began teaching in the family run Stewart School of Dance. Through lots of hard work and dedication we have built a highly competitive school gaining World medals in Solo and Team competitions.
My Biggest influence in Irish Dancing would have to be my mother Eulalia Stewart TCRG who has past on to me all her knowledge and skills that keep traditional Irish dancing alive and kicking in Scotland to this day.I am delighted to have the honour of adjudicating the All-Ireland Championships and I wish good luck to the Oireachtas Committee and all the competitors.
